Naill bagpipes are THE HEIRLOOM bagpipes that are being made today. This set was made in 1983, back when Naill was using Catalin mounts - which is why they're orange. I have played this set for over 20 years, and have won competitions with them through every grade up to and including Professional. The only issue was a crack on the tuning pin that I had repaired professionally in 2010 by Peter Crisler.
I play cane reeds in them because as a Solo player, they just sound incredible! If you're new to playing, I'd recommend a set of Ezee Drone reeds - they're easy to set up and sound close to cane. Or Balance Tone drone reeds.
They'll tell you all kinds of stories about how they make for scottish makers, and how they're in the museum of Scotland - WRONG. I would also be willing to discuss lessons via skype. They come with a Poly Dunbar Chanter.
