Kilberry Bagpipes (#2) plain nickel / imitation ivory / wooden button mounts
Kilberry Bagpipes (#2) - plain nickel / imitation ivory / wooden button mounts. These pipes have previously been used for junior pipers in a band, then have been stored away for approximately the past 15 years - they were. The pipes are similar overall lengths, compared to the Great Highland Bagpipe, yet are slimmer in design with a smaller internal bore size, making them ideal for juniors / younger players. The last three photographs show them alongside a regular GHB, to help demonstrate the slight size differential. The pipes were used with a standard bagpipe chanter, plus standard drone & chanter reeds. The pipes are advertised as a'sticks only' set (as photographed). There are no reeds or chanter included, as most people prefer to sort out their own personal combination. Please note that these are used bagpipes, and as such, may have a few minor marks - t. Here are no obvious cracks or splits in the wood. Kilberry bagpipes (plain nickel / imitation ivory). Plain nickel ferrules, imitation ivory ring caps, wooden button projecting mounts. Fully combed & varnished wood. Tried them in various stocks I seem to have far too many pipes at the moment!!! And taken OD & ID measurements as follows.

KILBERRY (nickel ferrule) - OD: 32mm, ID: 20.5mm. SINCLAIR (brass ferrule) - OD: 34mm, ID: 21mm. McCALLUM (nickel ferrule) - OD: 34mm, ID: 21mm. HARDIE (imit ivory ferrule) - OD: 34mm, ID: 21mm. KINTAIL (imit ivory ferrule) - OD: 35mm, ID: 20mm.

St KILDA (nickel ferrule) - OD: 35mm, ID: 20.5mm. As can be seen, they will fit standard stocks however, depending on the ferrule type/size, there could be a minor visual difference in OD.

I know Ayrshire Bagpipe Company make cheapish poly stocks, which I presume could be turned down an extra 2mm possibly - could be a cheaper option than ABW, if absolutely needed? Here are no obvious cracks or splits in the wood - however, the imitation ivory ring caps on the two tenors are slightly chipped on the edges (see photos).
